Technical Product Manager, Integrations & PlatformLocation: Remote (Canada)
Compensation: $110,000 - $135,000 CAD base per year
Experience Level: Intermediate (3-5 years in technical product management)
Position Overview:We're looking for a technical product manager to own and grow our ecosystem of third-party integrations, APIs, SDKs, and partner products. You'll manage a broad portfolio spanning workflow and platform integrations, developer-facing APIs, hardware and access-control partners, and financial systems.
Payments is a permanent anchor of this portfolio. You'll own our payment gateway integrations and the merchant-facing workflows that sit on top of them, so direct hands-on payments integration experience is required for this role. Beyond payments, you'll work across the full integration surface - which means we need a generalist who can go deep on a transaction lifecycle one week and evaluate a new partner's API documentation the next.
You'll sit between engineering, external partners, and internal teams, and you'll be the person the company relies on to explain what an integration can and can't do.
Key Responsibilities:- Roadmap and strategy. Own the roadmap for third-party integrations, API/SDK development, and technical partnerships, and align it with broader product and company goals.
- Payments ownership. Own payment gateway integrations end to end - scoping, rollout, merchant onboarding flows, and ongoing optimization. Act as the internal owner for transaction lifecycle questions.
- Requirements and scoping. Work with engineering to scope and prioritize integration work. Gather technical requirements from partners and customers for new integrations and enhancements to existing ones.
- Partner and vendor management. Manage relationships with third-party vendors, payment processors, and platform partners. Evaluate new partners and run technical investigations into emerging integration opportunities.
- API and developer experience. Oversee the maintenance and improvement of our developer-facing APIs and SDKs for performance, scalability, and developer satisfaction.
- Pilot programs. Design and run pilot and beta programs for new integrations and partner rollouts. Gather structured feedback and iterate before general availability.
- Subject matter expertise. Serve as the internal SME on integration capabilities and constraints, supporting sales, support, and implementation teams.
- Translation and communication. Convey technical requirements, tradeoffs, and project status clearly to non-technical stakeholders across the business.
- Escalation support. Partner with engineering to investigate and resolve complex integration issues raised by customers or partners.
- Go-to-market partnership. Work with marketing to position integrations and technical products accurately in external communications and release materials.
- Measurement. Track integration adoption, API reliability, and partner performance, and prioritize enhancements based on business impact.
Required Qualifications:- 3-5 years as a technical product manager or product manager owning software integrations, APIs, or developer platform products.
- Direct experience with payment gateway integrations - for example Stripe, Moneris, Square, Global Payments, or Adyen - including transaction lifecycles, refunds and disputes, and merchant onboarding.
- Strong working knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, SDKs, and authentication patterns, with the ability to read and assess third-party developer documentation independently.
- Demonstrated ability to scope and deliver technical work with engineering teams, from requirements through release.
- Familiarity with PCI-DSS, tokenization, and data security considerations in payment workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, particularly translating technical detail for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage several concurrent integration workstreams and prioritize effectively.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada, with the ability to maintain consistent overlap with Eastern Time business hours.
- Proven effectiveness in a remote setting, including asynchronous written communication with engineering and external partners.
Nice to Have:- Experience running pilot or beta programs for new integrations or physical device rollouts.
- Exposure to POS terminal or card reader deployments (EMV, tap-to-pay, semi-integrated setups).
- Background in SaaS platforms, integration marketplaces, or partner ecosystems.
- Familiarity with the health, wellness, or fitness industry.
- Hands-on technical background - software development, solutions engineering, or API development.
Please note that only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
