Full Job Description

Ecolab is seeking a highly experienced Technical Product Manager, ServiceNow Associate Portal to serve as the technical product owner and strategic advisor for our enterprise associate experience platform. Built on ServiceNow Employee Center Pro within HR Service Delivery, the Associate Portal will serve as Ecolab’s digital front door, enabling associates to find information, access services, complete tasks, and engage with enterprise workflows through a consistent and personalized experience.

This role will bridge associate needs, product strategy, experience design, and platform capabilities. You will partner closely with Product, HR, Communications, IT, Enterprise AI, UX, Architecture, and business stakeholders to shape the product roadmap and deliver scalable, intuitive, accessible, and supportable associate experiences.

As the technical product leader for the Associate Portal, you will evaluate proposed solutions, guide roadmap and backlog priorities, manage technical tradeoffs, and ensure the product remains aligned with ServiceNow standards and Ecolab’s long-term platform strategy. You will provide technical product leadership throughout the lifecycle, from discovery and design through delivery, deployment, adoption, operations, and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the leader of Technical Product Ownership within the ServiceNow Platform Organization, this role offers significant visibility and the opportunity to influence the future of digital employee experience at Ecolab.

What’s in It for You

  • Shape the future of Ecolab’s enterprise associate experience and digital workplace.
  • Partner directly with leaders across HR, Communications, Technology, Enterprise AI, and business functions.
  • Influence the roadmap for a global Associate Portal built on ServiceNow Employee Center Pro and HR Service Delivery.
  • Drive strategic initiatives involving enterprise search, knowledge, content, personalization, workflow automation, conversational assistance, and AI.
  • Work within a mature ServiceNow Center of Excellence and collaborate with platform architects, UX leaders, engineering teams, product owners, and business stakeholders.
  • Influence enterprise technology decisions supporting how associates find information, access services, and complete work.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the Technical Product Leader for the Associate Portal
  • Partner with business product managers, product owners, and stakeholders to translate associate needs and business priorities into scalable ServiceNow product capabilities.
  • Establish and maintain a clear product vision, technical product strategy, and roadmap for the Associate Portal.
  • Evaluate proposed capabilities and provide guidance on technical feasibility, platform alignment, associate value, maintainability, and long-term product sustainability.
  • Identify technical risks, dependencies, integration considerations, and tradeoffs before development begins.
  • Facilitate product and design discussions and build consensus across Product, UX, HR, Communications, IT, Architecture, Enterprise AI, and business teams.
  • Ensure product decisions balance associate experience, business outcomes, delivery constraints, security, accessibility, global requirements, and ServiceNow platform standards.

Own Product Strategy and Roadmap

  • Translate the Associate Portal vision into a prioritized and achievable product roadmap.
  • Partner with Product, UX, Architecture, and Engineering to define product capabilities, outcomes, release priorities, and success measures.
  • Maintain a clear view of cross-product dependencies involving content, knowledge, search, integrations, identity, data, AI, mobile experiences, and enterprise workflows.
  • Evaluate ServiceNow product enhancements and emerging capabilities relevant to Employee Center Pro, HR Service Delivery, enterprise search, content experiences, workflow automation, and associate engagement.
  • Develop recommendations for future investments, platform adoption, and product roadmap priorities.
  • Balance near-term delivery commitments with platform reuse, upgradeability, technical debt reduction, and long-term product health.

Drive Product Delivery Excellence

  • Partner with the Product Owner, Business Analyst, Software Engineering Manager, UX Lead, Architecture, QA, and delivery teams to translate roadmap priorities into epics, features, and an executable backlog.
  • Guide backlog prioritization based on associate value, business outcomes, technical readiness, risk, dependencies, effort, and available capacity.
  • Participate in discovery, design workshops, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations, release planning, user acceptance testing, and go-live readiness.
  • Ensure product requirements, approved designs, technical dependencies, data needs, acceptance criteria, and operational expectations are understood before development begins.
  • Remain actively engaged throughout implementation, deployment, stabilization, hypercare, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate product status, roadmap decisions, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs clearly to senior business and technology stakeholders.

Guide Associate Portal Capabilities

  • Provide technical product leadership for Employee Center Pro pages, microsites, navigation, taxonomy, application launchers, search, knowledge, content, services, requests, approvals, tasks, communications, and conversational experiences.
  • Guide personalization strategies using personas, audience groups, user criteria, HR criteria, roles, regions, languages, and associate preferences.
  • Ensure the product supports intuitive and consistent experiences across desktop, mobile, manufacturing, field, and corporate environments.
  • Partner with UX and Engineering to ensure experiences are accessible, responsive, usable, high-performing, and aligned with approved designs.
  • Establish reusable product patterns for portal pages, microsites, templates, navigation, taxonomy, targeted communications, and enterprise services.
  • Ensure product capabilities support multilingual use, accessibility, frontline environments, privacy, security, and the needs of a global associate population.

Lead Integration and Enterprise Experience Strategy

  • Define the product approach for integrations with Workday, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Viva Engage, content and digital asset platforms, EVA, and other enterprise systems.
  • Partner with Architecture and Engineering to evaluate integration options, data flows, access models, dependencies, support requirements, and failure scenarios.

  • Ensure integrations include appropriate monitoring, error handling, support routing, fallback experiences, and operational accountability.

Advance Search, AI, and Automation

  • Evaluate ServiceNow AI Search, Now Assist, Virtual Agent, and workflow automation capabilities where they improve associate outcomes and align with enterprise strategy.
  • Define product outcomes and success measures for search relevance, knowledge discovery, conversational experiences, assisted support, and task completion.
  • Ensure AI-enabled capabilities meet Ecolab requirements for security, privacy, governance, transparency, performance, observability, and supportability.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify associate journeys, reduce friction, improve self-service, and automate repeatable activities.

Own Product Health and Continuous Improvement

  • Define and monitor product metrics related to adoption, search effectiveness, task completion, experience quality, content engagement, performance, availability, and operational health.
  • Use product analytics, associate feedback, usability findings, support trends, incidents, defects, and operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations to monitor the health of the portal, integrations, search, content, and critical associate journeys.
  • Prioritize recurring issues, experience gaps, technical debt, unsupported capabilities, and lifecycle risks within the product roadmap.
  • Ensure clear ownership and support boundaries across the Associate Portal and connected enterprise platforms.
  • Guide the transition from project implementation to a sustainable internal product and operating model.

Support Content and Experience Governance

  • Partner with content leaders and domain owners to establish product capabilities for content creation, approval, publication, personalization, localization, lifecycle management, and archival.
  • Guide product decisions involving ServiceNow Knowledge Management, Content Experiences, enterprise content sources, metadata, taxonomy, audience targeting, and searchability.
  • Establish clear product governance for portal components, page patterns, microsites, navigation structures, content experiences, and reusable capabilities.
  • Ensure decisions involving content migration and disposition support a consistent associate experience and sustainable ownership model.
