Job Description

The Lead will oversee overall pre-sales performance, drive team success, and communicate and report to the National Sales Manager - ESS NAM, while also acting as a hands-on operational contributor.

The role is also responsible for preparing professional commercial proposals for a wide range of ESS customers and leading customer discussions to understand specific applications and requirements. Acting as a technical ESS subject-matter expert, the incumbent will support peers and participate in customer presentations to educate customers on products and solutions. Operating in a matrixed, global environment with multiple stakeholders and projects, the role contributes to a high-performance international team.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
  • Lead and oversee pre-sales performance, outcomes, and results, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drives team success through effective coaching, delegation, and development of team members.
  • Lead and optimize proposal processes and the ESS configurator through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage the sales pipeline to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions and clear, effective customer communication
  • Provides regular communication and reporting to stakeholders while ensuring alignment of the team with organizational strategy.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams to develop compelling ESS proposals that drive business success.
  • Partner with R&D and Engineering teams to design and deliver innovative, customer-focused ESS solutions.
  • Analyze customer requirements to design and deliver tailored standard or custom solutions that address specific business needs.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and support to help customers clearly understand the value and benefits of ESS products.
  • Mentor and develop new team members, contribute to marketing initiatives, and provide insights to support future growth.


Essential Qualifications, Experience, And Skills
  • Bachelor's in Engineering (Electrical preferred)
  • Over 7 years of experience in the power industry/energy storage.
  • Proven expertise in preparing technical commercial proposals and delivering outstanding sales presentations.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the communication skills to share complex technical solutions clearly.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and accountable - ready to meet and exceed targets.
  • A leader with excellent collaboration, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google tools, and CRM software (Salesforce).
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills


Compensation range: $130,000 - $140,000 CAD
