Position Summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the global Customer Experience Management (CxM) commercial platform for Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ). This role owns the CPQ product vision, global roadmap, investment priorities, delivery outcomes, platform operations, and value realization across the product lifecycle.

The leader will work across commercial, pricing, contracting, Sales, regional and global business teams to simplify complex quoting processes and establish a coherent global CPQ capability. The role will balance enterprise standardization with justified market variation and ensure that CPQ integrates effectively with Microsoft Dynamics 365, product and customer data, pricing services, contracting capabilities, and adjacent CxM platforms.

The Senior Manager is accountable for defining the business outcomes, roadmap, priorities, funding, operating model, and delivery commitments for CPQ.
Key Accountabilities
1. CPQ product strategy and global roadmap
  • Define and communicate the global CPQ product vision, strategy, roadmap, and measurable business outcomes in alignment with the broader MedTech CxM strategy.
  • Own prioritization across quoting, pricing, approvals, product configuration, contracting handoffs, customer and product data, integrations, reporting, and user experience.
  • Convert business strategy and user needs into clear product capabilities, release objectives, and an actionable backlog.
  • Make explicit global-versus-local decisions, favoring common capabilities and configuration while requiring evidence for market-specific variation.
  • Maintain a sequenced roadmap across near-term delivery, platform stabilization, capability expansion, technical health, and innovation.
2. Business outcomes and value realization
  • Define outcome measures and baselines for CPQ, including quote cycle time, quote quality, pricing and approval compliance, user adoption, reliability, reuse, and reduction of manual work.
  • Create a transparent value case for major investments and track whether delivered capabilities produce the expected operational and commercial outcomes.
  • Partner with business process owners to simplify processes before automating them and avoid replicating unnecessary legacy complexity.
  • Use product analytics, operational insights, user feedback, and financial performance to adjust priorities and improve the platform.
3. Product delivery and cross-functional leadership
  • Lead end-to-end CPQ product delivery across discovery, planning, backlog management, release readiness, adoption, stabilization, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with engineering and architecture leaders to translate product priorities into executable delivery plans while balancing value, feasibility, risk, cost, quality, and timing.
  • Manage cross-team dependencies spanning Sales, pricing, contracting, data, integrations, security, privacy, infrastructure, and adjacent CxM capabilities.
  • Establish clear decision rights, governance, cadences, escalation paths, and acceptance criteria across product teams, delivery partners, and business stakeholders.
  • Remove blockers and make timely scope, sequence, risk, and investment decisions.
4. Financial, supplier and portfolio management
  • Own the CPQ platform budget, resource plan, investment roadmap, forecasts, and financial trade-offs.
  • Manage strategic suppliers and systems integrators against defined outcomes, quality expectations, technical standards, delivery commitments, and commercial terms.
  • Partner with portfolio leadership to align funding, capacity, dependencies, and milestones with the broader CxM portfolio.
  • Provide clear reporting on progress, value, cost, risks, decisions, and corrective actions to product, business, technology, and executive stakeholders.
5. Platform operations, risk and compliance
  • Own the product operating model for release, change, incident, problem, service, and lifecycle management in partnership with engineering and support teams.
  • Ensure required cyber security, privacy, risk, compliance, validation, asset management, change control, and records-management processes are embedded in the CPQ lifecycle.
  • Establish service levels, operational metrics, support responsibilities, escalation paths, and business continuity expectations.
  • Provide leadership during major incidents and ensure root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive improvements are completed.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, operational insights, standard processes, and reduction of recurring failure points.
6. People and capability leadership
  • Lead and develop employees, contractors, and delivery partners through clear objectives, coaching, feedback, performance management, and career development.
  • Build strong product-management, domain, delivery, change, and business-partnership capabilities within the team.
  • Create an inclusive, accountable culture focused on outcomes, transparency, constructive challenge, learning, and shared ownership.
  • Ensure the team has the capacity, skills, role clarity, and partner support required to operate and evolve a global commercial platform.
Measures of Success
  • A shared global CPQ vision and sequenced roadmap are approved, funded, and understood across business and technology teams.
  • Quote processes become simpler, faster, more consistent, and more measurable, with fewer manual handoffs and avoidable exceptions.
  • Common capabilities and reusable integrations replace duplicated regional solutions and unnecessary customization.
  • Releases meet defined business outcomes, quality standards, operational readiness criteria, and adoption targets.
  • Budget, supplier performance, delivery risk, platform health, and value realization are transparent and actively managed.
  • Product, engineering, architecture, and business teams operate with clear decision rights and fewer unresolved dependencies.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information technology, computer science, business, engineering, or a related field.
  • 10 or more years of progressively responsible experience in product management, platform management, commercial technology, enterprise applications, or technology delivery.
  • Demonstrated product leadership for an enterprise CPQ, pricing, quoting, contracting, CRM, sales enablement, or comparable commercial platform.
  • Strong understanding of CPQ business capabilities, including product configuration, pricing, approvals, quote generation, commercial controls, integrations, data, and downstream contracting or order processes.
  • Experience defining product strategy, outcome-based roadmaps, investment priorities, backlogs, release plans, adoption approaches, and value measures.
  • Experience delivering complex global products across multiple functions, regions, teams, and technology platforms in a regulated or highly controlled environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure, integration and API patterns, data platforms, Microsoft 365, Copilot, and Copilot Studio sufficient to lead product decisions and partner credibly with engineering.
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets, resource plans, forecasts, suppliers, systems integrators, and delivery commitments.
  • Demonstrated people leadership, including goal setting, coaching, performance management, talent development, and leadership of employees and contractors.
  • Experience with software product development lifecycles, agile delivery, backlog management, release planning, risk management, service operations, and incident leadership.
  • Strong executive communication, facilitation, negotiation, collaboration, and influencing skills across global business and technology organizations.
  • Demonstrated AI fluency and the ability to apply and evaluate AI responsibly while maintaining human accountability and complying with governance, privacy, security, and policy requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in MedTech, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
  • Deep experience with enterprise CPQ and pricing platforms, particularly in complex product, market, channel, or contract environments.
  • Experience applying global template governance while enabling controlled regional or business-unit variation.
  • Experience integrating CPQ with CRM, product, pricing, customer, contracting, ERP, order management, analytics, and identity services.
  • Experience leading organizational change, process simplification, product adoption, and retirement of legacy platforms.
