Full Job Description
The Role

We're looking for a polished, driven Technical Outside Sales Representative to join our team. You'll own the full sales cycle - from first consultation through signed agreement - while building and maintaining the kind of long-term client relationships that generate repeat business and referrals. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role with real earning potential and room to grow.

What You'll Do
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities across residential and commercial markets through proactive outreach and industry partnerships
  • Maintain and grow relationships with general contractors, builders, engineers, and homeowners to drive repeat business and referrals
  • Develop, present, and close proposals tailored to each client's needs, and maintain a strong pipeline at every stage of the sales cycle
  • Lead clients through on-site walkthroughs and virtual overviews as needed, showcasing relevant technology solutions.
  • Ensure a high-quality customer experience from first contact through installation, including post-sale communication and seamless handoff to our operations team
  • Contribute market insights to leadership and provide guidance to junior sales staff

What We're Looking For
  • Current DCJS Sales licensure, or the ability to obtain it within 60 days of hire
  • Proven track record in consultative or B2B sales - experience in low-voltage technology, construction, or a related trade is a strong plus
  • Ability to read and mark floorplans to reflect installation locations
  • Working knowledge of low-voltage wiring types and contractor/subcontractor relationships
  • Excellent communication skills - you can adjust your style for a GC, an engineer, or a homeowner
  • Service Fusion experience is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

We believe in transparent, straightforward compensation that rewards results.
  • Base Salary: $65,000 annually, ($120k+ OTE)
  • Commission: 7% per job, earned at project completion, applied to agreed contract value (excluding builder standard line items and tax). Uncapped.
  • Monthly Team Bonus: When the sales team collectively hits monthly revenue thresholds, a bonus pool is distributed proportionally by individual revenue contribution. Jointly closed deals are credited 50/50.
