ABOUT THE ROLE
The Technical Marketing and Projects Specialist bridges technical expertise and commercial execution, combining engineering support, marketing strategy, and project coordination to drive business growth. The position involves working closely with engineers, specifiers, municipalities, and contractors to provide design guidance, product specifications, and pricing support, while also promoting product value through marketing materials, and industry events. In addition to monitoring market trends and competitor activity, the role plays a key part in supporting sales through accurate quoting, project tracking, and coordination across engineering, production, and distribution teams to ensure successful project delivery. Strong collaboration, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects are essential, as the role also contributes to marketing initiatives, customer relationship development, and overall business strategy.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Contact engineers, specifiers, and municipalities to provide design, specification, and pricing support for our product lines.
  • Identify and secure presentation opportunities with current and prospective customers to showcase Amrize's product benefits and competitive advantages.
  • Monitor competitor activity and report changes in products, pricing, or strategy to management to identify potential market trends and opportunities for our company within the industry.
  • Source and attend trade shows, conventions, and association meetings to promote our products (pre-approval required).
  • Analyze potential strategic partner relationships, customer research, market conditions, and competitor information to determine new market opportunities.
  • Continually promote the development of strong long-term relationships between our core customers and business partners to facilitate future business opportunities for all sales and technical marketing staff.
  • Review customer orders and project drawings to ensure correct materials are priced, ordered, and manufactured; identify conflicts and suggest additional products.
  • Ensure Engineering, Production, and Distribution teams have all information needed for on-time order fulfillment.
  • Track and update project information in Salesforce, including quotes, contractors, forecasts, start dates, and follow-ups.
  • Monitor bid sites (Merx, BC Bid) and follow up on tender results; provide quarterly reports on large projects.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma. Combination of Education and professional experience, will be considered.
Field of Study Preferred: Applied Sciences, Civil Engineering, or equivalent technical degree.
Required Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing and/or sales of precast, stormwater, or related construction products.
Required Training/Certifications: PMP certification is an asset.
Required Technical Skills: Proficiency with Salesforce (CRM) and SAP (ERP) for quoting, job tracking, and order management.
Travel Requirements: Up to 25% of the time you will be away from the regular worksite. Occasional overnight travel for trade shows or customer visits.

Additional Requirements:
  • Consistent, reliable attendance required to perform essential job functions.
  • Knowledge of stormwater treatment products and associated design/sizing tools is a strong asset.
  • Above-average mathematical and communication skills; detail-oriented with strong organizational ability.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
