Full Job Description
Technical Manager - R&IC Pilot Plant Envelope Testing to lead one of the most critical testing operations in our state-of-the-art R&D Pilot Plant.

In this leadership role, you'll oversee the daily operations of our Envelope Testing area, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality testing that supports new product development, code compliance, and commercialization. You'll manage a team of technicians and specialists, prioritize testing activities, oversee prototype fabrication, and collaborate with R&D, Product Development, and Marketing teams to bring innovative building products to market.

This position is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges while developing people and improving processes. You'll be responsible for advancing testing capabilities, developing and validating new test methods, maintaining alignment with ASTM and other industry standards, and driving continuous improvement across safety, quality, and operational performance.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Building Science, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related technical field (Master's preferred)
  • Experience leading laboratory, pilot plant, testing, or technical operations teams
  • Strong understanding of building envelope systems, building materials, and code-driven testing methods
  • Experience developing test methods, managing equipment, and leading continuous improvement initiatives
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
