Title:Technical Leader, Power Technology
KBR is seeking a
Sr. Technical Advisor, Power Technology professional, to join the Technology Solutions team. The Sr. Technical Advisor, Power Technologies serves as the primary technical and commercial focal point for power technologies, equipment solutions, and emerging technologies. This role provides subject matter expertise in technology evaluation, equipment selection, vendor engagement, and solution development, working closely with customers, sales teams, engineering resources, and manufacturers to deliver innovative, commercially viable power solutions.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and comfortable working across both commercial and technical teams.
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:- Responsible for developing and growth for KBR's new products and technologies through competitive pricing, technology, development of new business relations, and monitoring customer and competitor activity.
- Identify new business opportunities and the enhancement of existing customer relationships, to improve market share and profitability.
- Engage customers in discussions regarding schedule acceleration, infrastructure integration, risk management, and delivery strategy.
- Establish appropriate collection, analysis and interpretation of data and information as it relates to competitive analysis, market intelligence, trends and benchmarking activities.
- Work with KBR technology Licensing technical and operational team to assist with technical troubleshooting, using partners for consultation and implementing modeling scenarios and capabilities.
- Maintain relationships with licensees, customers, potential clients, engineering companies, and internal and external business associates to maintain existing and foster new business activities. This involves periodic visits to licensee and customer plants, head offices, and other technical facilities.
- Work collaboratively across internal and external stakeholder groups, including licensees, producers, engineering teams, and equipment/technology companies, to optimize commercial outcomes and support strategic growth initiatives.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:- MS/ BS in Electrical Engineering or commiserate technical engineering degree.
- 8+ years' experience in power/instrumentation systems and equipment within the ammonia/refining/petrochemical industry.
- Must be capable of aligning with internal licensing groups, external partners, customers and other project stake holders with the objective of growing the business.
- Must be able to travel 30% - 50% of the time, including international travel.
