Stantec's New York City office is seeking a highly motivated and driven Technical Lead to support our growing infrastructure practice and lead project delivery efforts across the New York City Metropolitan area. In this role, you'll work alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team of engineers, and Project Managers to support our building, transit and rehabilitation projects.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead development of design deliverables including ensuring compliance with design criteria, design standards and specifications.
- Provide oversight and technical overview of designs, advise on constructability and have the ability serve as the Technical Lead or Engineer-of-Record of transportation, buildings, schools, and commercial structures.
- Monitor progress against design milestones to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Mentor and develop engineers, sharing knowledge and guiding professional development.
- Lead preparation of construction documents in accordance with various agency standards.
- Lead resolution of complex technical problems and exercise independent decision making.
- Review and approve construction documents and provide design support during construction activities (Shop Drawings, RFIs, Field related design changes, as-builts).
- Lead coordination with internal disciplines (highway, traffic, geotechnical, drainage, lighting).
- Provide QA/QC oversight, monitoring the work of structural engineers and ensuring technical excellence.
- Lead client development initiatives, coordination including coordinating deliverables, submittals, meetings, review comments etc.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Licensed or ability to obtain the Professional Engineer license in the States of NY and NJ.
- Experience working with agencies such as MTA, PANYNJ, SCA, NYCEDC, and NYC Parks.
- Thorough understanding of applicable codes and standards such as NYSBC, NYCBC, ASCE, AISC, and ACI.
- Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
- Functional expertise with structural analysis and CADD/BIM software.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced design environment
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering from an accredited institution, Master's Degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering from an accredited institution preferred
- 10-15 years' experience in the structural design of buildings and/or transit structures
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York (or ability to obtain with 6 months)

Pay Range:• Locations in NYC & CA (Bay Area) & NJ (RP)-$134,900.00 - $202,500.00 Annually
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
