Job Summary:

As the Technical Lead, Infrastructure and Operations, the candidate will lead the design, implementation, and ongoing reliability of the organization's infrastructure and operations capabilities. This role serves as the technical lead for infrastructure platforms and services driving standards, architecture, and execution through influence and collaboration (no direct reports). The technical lead will partner across IT, Security, franchises and business stakeholders to ensure infrastructure is scalable, resilient, and secure, and will own the implementation and support model for franchise infrastructure, including rollout governance, lifecycle management, and operational performance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Design and Architecture:
  • Lead the design and architecture of the organization's systems, including business critical systems and those that integrate into our application eco-system.
  • Develop scalable and resilient solutions that meet the organization's current and future needs.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation to deliver on business outcomes.


Technical Leadership (No Direct Reports):
  • Provide technical direction and hands-on execution across infrastructure and operations initiatives, fostering a culture of collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and socialize infrastructure standards, reference architectures, and technical roadmaps for both corporate and franchise environments, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and measurable business outcomes.


Franchise Infrastructure Implementation and Operations:
  • Own the implementation, rollout governance, and support model for franchise infrastructure and related infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and availability of infrastructure systems, proactively identifying and addressing issues to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
  • Implement automated tools and processes to streamline infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring tasks.


Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with franchises and cross-functional teams, including software development, operations, security, and compliance, to ensure the seamless integration of infrastructure services with other systems and applications.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, providing regular updates on infrastructure projects, initiatives, and performance metrics.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between the infrastructure team and other internal and external stakeholders, resolving conflicts and driving consensus on technical decisions.


Risk Management and Security Compliance:
  • Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities in the infrastructure environment, implementing appropriate controls and safeguards to mitigate threats.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies related to infrastructure security, data protection, and privacy.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits of infrastructure systems, implementing remediation plans as needed.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven experience (7-10 years) in designing, implementing, and managing complex infrastructure systems in enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on expertise in cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), virtualization technologies, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and software-defined networking.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, focusing on delivering innovative and pragmatic solutions to technical challenges.
  • Deep understanding of security best practices, compliance requirements, and risk management principles in infrastructure management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
