Full Job Description
About the Role

This is a founding-level engineering role at an early-stage, venture-backed AI SaaS company transforming how industrial manufacturers and distributors operate. You'll work directly alongside the founding team to build and scale the technical infrastructure powering an industrial B2B marketplace - from intelligent data pipelines and AI/ML systems to full-stack marketplace features that process transactions at significant scale.

This is a high-ownership, high-impact position best suited to a builder who thrives in fast-moving environments and wants to shape both product and technical strategy from the ground up. The interview process includes a two-week paid work trial.
What You'll Do
  • Build and scale the technical backbone of an industrial B2B marketplace platform.
  • Design and maintain data pipelines (Dagster or similar) ingesting data from thousands of manufacturers and distributors.
  • Implement DevOps best practices and manage cloud infrastructure using CloudFormation and AWS.
  • Develop AI/ML integrations and AI agent workflows that automate industrial sales and distribution processes.
  • Deliver features across the full stack: Next.js / Vercel frontend, Supabase backend, and modern data infrastructure.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of projects that directly enable large transaction volumes.
  • Contribute to technical strategy as the platform scales from software tooling to a full marketplace.
What We're Looking For

Must-haves (dealbreakers):
  • Strong full-stack production experience with a proven ability to ship rapidly and reliably.
  • True full-stack capability - comfortable with both backend and frontend work.
  • Proficiency with modern web technologies: React / Next.js, TypeScript, REST/GraphQL APIs.
  • Solid ML engineering background - experience setting up data pipelines and maintaining infrastructure for both traditional ML models and AI agents.
  • 3-7 years of experience in ML engineering or building reliable ML systems.

Required:
  • DevOps expertise including infrastructure as code (CloudFormation and/or Terraform).
  • Track record at a top-tier organization (e.g., FAANG, unicorn startup, or equivalent high-caliber engineering environment).
  • Experience setting up and maintaining data pipelines at scale.
  • Experience maintaining infrastructure for AI agents and traditional ML workloads.

Nice to have:
  • Experience with marketplace or e-commerce platforms.
  • Background in manufacturing, supply chain, or B2B enterprise software.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM integration and AI agent frameworks.
  • Previous early-stage startup experience.
  • Cloud operations, monitoring, and cost optimization exposure.
  • Experience with Dagster or similar orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow).
Location

This role is on-site in New York, NY. Visa sponsorship is available.
Compensation & Benefits

Compensation details will be discussed during the interview process. This is an early-stage role with meaningful equity upside and the opportunity to be a key technical voice at a fast-growing company.
