Full Job Description
Overview

Amca's Technical Editor will be responsible for translating the company's extensive engineering and manufacturing capabilities into credible, technically-grounded content that reaches both engineering recruits and end customers in critical sectors, including but not limited to defense and aerospace. This person will sit on the Growth team, work closely with and report to the Senior Manager of Creative and Marketing.

The right candidate has worked directly in relevant fields such as technical journalism, product marketing, or engineering. He or she is inherently creative, an expert communicator, and exercises exceptional judgement.

We are growing very quickly. The scope of the role will therefore expand. To start, these are the core areas of work this person will own.
  1. Own Amca's relationship with external platforms (e.g., forums) and networks.
    1. Serve as the primary point of contact for these relationships, ensuring our presence on the platforms is substantive and generates meaningful inbound.
    2. Execute on editorial opportunities (sponsored content, contributed articles, engagement) that are aligned with Amca's brand standards and company beliefs.
  2. Own the go-to-market strategy for Amca's product development platform, RAPID.
    1. Develop, in collaboration with our engineering team, a clear, technically honest, and compelling way to communicate what RAPID is and why it matters to a range of stakeholders: engineers, program managers, and government leaders.
    2. Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Creative and Marketing and the design team to share the platform's capabilities through specific, concrete assets: technical explainers, one-pagers, social content, and anything else required.
  3. Produce a steady cadence of technical content every month for social platforms.
    1. Publish short-form, technical content on Amca's social channels that exemplifies our work.
    2. Work closely with the Senior Manager and VP of Growth to ensure every piece of public-facing content that touches Amca's technical capabilities is up to par: accurate, credible, and consistent with our values.
  4. Serve as the primary technical contributor on multi-media, spanning long-form writing (op-eds, blog posts, industry publications), video (long + short form), events, and other branded materials.
    1. Work closely with our engineering team to ensure all technical content is captured accurately.
    2. Work with the CEO, VP of Growth, and other members of the leadership team to develop and refine how we communicate about the industrial base.
    3. Maintain deep awareness of what is being published in the industrial ecosystem to continuously sharpen Amca's position and POV within policy discourse.
