Technical Distribution Sales Manager ? West Coast Region | Remote | ~50% Travel (AZ, WA, CO, OR, UT and TX)We are seeking a
Technical Distribution Sales Manager to drive growth across the West Coast by partnering closely with authorized distribution partners. This individual will serve as the primary technical and commercial liaison between our organization and regional distributors, helping expand market share, strengthen relationships, and increase product visibility.
This is a highly visible role that blends technical expertise, channel development, and strategic sales execution.
What You'll Be Responsible For Channel & Relationship Management - Develop and strengthen relationships with distributor leadership, branch teams, and product management groups
- Drive joint business plans and growth initiatives with key distribution partners
- Lead and support new product introductions, technical trainings, design reviews, and quarterly business updates
- Increase brand awareness and product mindshare within distributor organizations
- Support and expand the regional distribution channel footprint
- Partner with branch sales teams and field application engineers to accelerate demand creation
Technical Sales Support - Recommend appropriate electronic component solutions including circuit protection, power semiconductors, relays, switches, sensors, and related technologies
- Collaborate with distributor FAE teams to support customer designs and technical inquiries
- Assist with quoting activities and follow up on opportunities to maximize win rates
Market & Competitive Intelligence - Stay current on market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive positioning
- Clearly articulate product value propositions, features, and technical advantages
Reporting & Operations - Maintain accurate pipeline data, sales forecasts, and activity reporting within CRM systems
- Provide management with regular updates on sales performance and market dynamics
What We're Looking For - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field
- Experience in technical sales within the electronic components industry
- Strong understanding of electronic circuits, applications, and component technologies
- Proven success working with distribution partners
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to travel approximately 50% throughout the West Coast region
Preferred Experience - Familiarity with CRM/ERP tools
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and compliance requirements
- Experience delivering technical presentations and branch-level trainings
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across sales, marketing, engineering, and channel teams
- Customer-first mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
