Onsite Job - Technical Designer Level 5 Work Location: Everett, WA

Responsibilities - Applies fundamental drafting principles and design concept understanding to support solutions to product/process issues as they occur in real-time within the fabrication flow.
- Creates drafted parts and product structures to support operational and quality concerns.
- Performs model definition changes within the defined engineering framework based on engineering input.
- Translates engineers' conceptual ideas and feedback into physical part geometry and assembly definitions.
- Engages in cross-functional, collaborative environments across the product lifecycle to support design changes and continuous improvement.
- Maintains technical excellence while progressing toward an advanced technical designer role.
- Participates in a fast-paced, agile environment with a positive attitude.
- Supports first, second, or third shift operations, including weekend and overtime work as required.
- Provides materials and process support throughout the full lifecycle of aircraft programs, from design through production and fleet support.
- Reviews electrical component materials and process specifications along with engineering documentation used to design, certify, and manufacture systems hardware.
- Identifies impacts of non-conformances associated with electrical components and develops corrective and preventive actions.
- Conducts engineering laboratory failure analysis to determine root cause and corrective actions for failed electrical components.
- Evaluates emerging technologies for potential application to future aerospace products.
- Collaborates with Design, Stress, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supplier teams to resolve materials and process challenges.
- Produces requirements, specifications, and engineering documentation supporting tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes throughout the product lifecycle.
Basic Qualifications - Associate degree and typical experience in drafting classification (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Basic understanding and usage of Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
- Basic understanding of design product structure (details, parts, assemblies, installations).
- Understanding of machining metallic parts.
- 9+ years of experience working with aerospace design, including detail and assembly parts.
- CATIA or equivalent solid modeling experience.
- Integrated Visualization Tool (IVT) experience.
Preferred Qualifications - Strong problem-solving skills.
- Investigative skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- Project management experience coordinating projects across multiple organizations.
- Experience working in laboratory environments.
Education / Experience: AA degree in a related discipline and typically 9 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
