Job Description

In this position...

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you build the Data Quality Platform, ensuring Ford Pro Intelligence teams have single, trusted view of product and data health that is self-serve, consistent, and decision ready.

This role requires a versatile individual who can adapt to evolving product needs. You will be responsible for both the product management and technical aspects of data products, working closely with Ford Pro Intelligence (FPI), Engineering, and Transportation Mobility Cloud (TMC) to ensure that existing and new products operate effectively across current and future vehicle platforms.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days per week in-office)
Locations: Dearborn, MI or Palo Alto, CA

What you'll do...
  • Own the roadmap and execution of the Data Quality monitor.
  • Define and evolve standard, certified metrics for product health and data quality, prioritized by business impact
  • Product-manage the Data Quality Monitor as a platform, not a collection of reports.
  • Drive adoption and usability so teams can independently answer questions without ad-hoc support.
  • Make clear decisions on what capabilities are self-serve versus explicitly unsupported.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Data Architecture, and Business teams to navigate trade-offs related to scale, performance, and data correctness.
  • Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership by translating complex data quality metrics into clear business impact and ROI narratives.
  • Establish, document, and evangelize data governance and data quality standards across Ford Pro and partner organizations.
  • Provide product leadership for complex investigations and triage, driving root cause resolution and long-term platform improvements rather than repeated manual intervention

You'll have...
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a technical field
  • 5+ years of overall technical or industry experience, with at least 2-3 years specifically in Product Management
  • Strong ability to work with large-scale datasets (e.g., SQL, Python), including the ability to analyze data, validate hypotheses, and partner effectively with engineering and analytics teams
  • Experience leveraging analytics or AI-enabled tools to augment workflows and analysis, or building strong data quality foundations that enable future AI/ML-driven products
  • Experience defining, reviewing, or partnering on product health dashboards using analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Amplitude, Power BI).
  • Experience collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering and analytics teams to deliver and validate data products.
  • Ability to quantify systemic vs one-off issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Even better, you may have...
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study preferred.
  • Experience working with connected devices, including data ingestion, orchestration, and telemetry-based insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder...or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:
• Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage
• Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care and more
• Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more
• Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases
• Tuition assistance
• Established and active employee resource groups
• Paid time off for individual and team community service
• A generous schedule of paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year's Day
• Paid time off and the option to purchase additional vacation time.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$182,800.
