Description
We're looking for a Technical Construction Specialist who's spent a career mastering the craft and now wants to spend the next one passing it on. At MCL, this role turns hard-won field knowledge into the standard every crew builds to.
"You can't scale a company on tribal knowledge. Someone has to write it down, teach it right, and make sure it sticks - that's this role."
THE MISSION
• Lead MCL's technical training efforts for field and project management employees.
• Build and maintain curriculum - instructor guides, job aids, videos, and skill checklists that reflect real MCL standards.
• Coach in the field - visit projects, observe the work, and give real-time feedback that sticks.
• Mentor foremen, superintendents, project engineers, and new hires as they grow.
• Capture institutional knowledge before it walks out the door with a retiring veteran.
• Serve as the go-to technical resource for tough installations and recurring quality issues.
• Partner across Field Operations, Project Management, Safety, Procurement, and Learning & Development to keep training tied to real priorities.
THE RIGHT FIT
• 10+ years of commercial construction experience, including 5+ years of proven success at MCL.
• Demonstrated expertise in commercial means and methods, with a strong safety and quality track record.
• A track record of teaching, coaching, and developing others - not just doing the work yourself.
• Respected by peers for technical knowledge, professionalism, and follow-through.
• Superintendent, General Superintendent, Project Manager, or Project Executive background preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred; manufacturer certifications and NCCER Instructor certification (or equivalent) a plus.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Competitive salary, Medical, Dental & Vision • 401(k) with company match • Generous PTO • Travel opportunities • And more
