Position Description: We're growing rapidly and are looking for a Technical Business Analyst with strong SQL skills and experience working on Trading Platforms and the associated systems.

This role a hybrid role with a couple days a week on-site in Naperville, IL.
. 4-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst (or similar) within financial services or capital markets.
. Hands on experience with a trading platform or related systems (e.g., OMS/EMS, order management, execution, or trade processing systems).
. Solid working knowledge of the trade lifecycle and at least one asset class (equities, fixed income, FX, or derivatives).
. Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries independently and work with relational databases.
. Demonstrated data analysis experience, turning raw data into actionable findings.
. Excellent requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
. Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments.
Your future duties and responsibilities: . Gather, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements from business, operations, and compliance stakeholders.
. Analyze trade lifecycle workflows (order capture, execution, allocation, confirmation, settlement) and identify opportunities for improvement.
. Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze large volumes of trading, position, and market data.
. Produce data driven insights, dashboards, and reports to support business and technology decisions.
. Author detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development teams.
. Partner with developers and QA throughout the SDLC, supporting testing (including UAT), defect triage, and release validation.
. Perform data reconciliation and root cause analysis on trade or reporting discrepancies.
. Facilitate workshops and maintain clear documentation, process flows, and data mappings.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . 4-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst (or similar) within financial services or capital markets.

Preferred Qualifications:
. Understanding of regulatory or reporting requirements relevant to trading (e.g., MiFID II, trade surveillance, best execution).
. Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools.
. Wealth management experience a plus

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 $156,700.00.
