Position Summary:

The Technical Architecture Consultant is responsible for designing and delivering technology architecture tailored to a specific platform, product, or client engagement, ensuring that solutions meet critical performance, capability, and scalability requirements. This role assesses complex business needs and translates them into effective technical strategies, ensuring that architecture aligns with both current and future organizational goals. The Technical Architecture Consultant collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal system functionality, drawing on knowledge of enterprise content management systems, data governance practices, scalable architecture design, performance optimization, system integration, and cloud-based solutions. Given the nature of the engagements supported, this position requires an active or obtainable government security clearance and a DoD 8140/8570-compliant certification.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Designs and delivers technology architecture solutions tailored to a specific platform, product, or client engagement, ensuring solutions meet performance, capability, and scalability requirements.
  • Assesses complex business needs and translates them into effective, scalable technical strategies and solution designs.
  • Ensures technology architecture aligns with both current and future organizational goals, incorporating enterprise content management, data governance, and scalable architecture design practices.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and infrastructure and security engineers, to ensure seamless integration and optimal system functionality.
  • Evaluates and recommends performance optimization strategies, system integration approaches, and cloud-based solution options.
  • Supports the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA-based solutions, ensuring alignment with broader enterprise architecture standards.
  • Monitors emerging technology trends and adapts architecture strategies to evolving business and technical requirements.
  • Provides technical guidance and thought leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering through implementation and support.
  • Maintains compliance with applicable DoD cybersecurity workforce certification requirements (DoD 8140/8570) for duties performed on client engagements.
  • Adheres to all certified processes as part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and information security, which includes actively participating in quality assurance activities and ensuring the protection of sensitive information in accordance with our security policies.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned by direct supervisor.


Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience (with a bachelor's or master's degree) or 10-13 years of relevant experience (without a degree) in technology architecture, solution design, or a related field.
  • Active Security+ certification or another DoD 8140/8570-approved credential, or the ability to obtain one within [X] days of hire.
  • Working experience with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering technology architecture solutions across platforms, products, or client engagements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional technical and business teams.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active government clearance (requires U.S. citizenship).


Nice to Have:
  • Familiarity with enterprise content management (ECM) systems and data governance frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud-based solutions and cloud architecture patterns (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience with system integration tools and middleware (e.g., SAP BTP/Integration Suite, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi).
  • Additional DoD 8140/8570-approved certifications (e.g., CISSP, CASP+, CySA+).
  • SAP certification(s) relevant to S/4HANA architecture or specific functional or technical modules.
  • TOGAF or another enterprise architecture framework certification.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting government or DoD programs requiring an active security clearance.
  • Familiarity with Agile or SAP Activate delivery methodologies.
  • Experience conducting performance optimization and scalability assessments for large-scale enterprise platforms.


Compensation: In accordance with pay transparency law, the expected salary range for this position is $140,000 - $165,000 annually. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This posted range reflects our good faith estimate of the compensation we reasonably expect to offer for this role at the time of posting.
