Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, maintain, and optimize the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Establish and maintain relationships between Configuration Items (CIs) across infrastructure, applications, and business services.
  • Implement and support data ingestion and integration processes from multiple enterprise systems into the ServiceNow CMDB.
  • Apply and maintain the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) framework across the ServiceNow platform.
  • Develop and manage relationships between Business Applications, Service Instances, Technology Management Services, Service Offerings, Business Capabilities, and related CIs.
  • Ensure IT asset and service data is structured and governed in accordance with CSDM best practices.
  • Collaborate with application owners, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to improve CMDB data quality and service visibility.
  • Define and enforce governance policies for Configuration Item (CI) lifecycle management, including creation, modification, and retirement.
  • Support Change Management processes by ensuring CMDB updates accurately reflect approved infrastructure and application changes.
  • Develop and monitor CMDB health dashboards, KPIs, and data quality metrics.
  • Identify and remediate stale, duplicate, orphaned, or inaccurate CMDB records.
  • Work closely with CI owners, auditors, and governance teams to support compliance initiatives and audit requirements.
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvements for CMDB processes, governance, and automation.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform, particularly CMDB and related modules.
  • Excellent understanding of CMDB architecture, Configuration Item (CI) classes, and CI relationship modeling.
  • Proven expertise in ServiceNow CSDM (Common Service Data Model).

  • Experience collaborating with CI owners, governance teams, compliance teams, and auditors.
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices and ServiceNow governance frameworks.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, IntegrationHub, or related ServiceNow capabilities is an advantage.
