Full Job Description
Buyers Edge Platform is looking for a Technical Accounting Manager to join our growing corporate accounting team as a key technical resource supporting our dynamic, acquisition-driven business. In this hands-on leadership role, you will spearhead critical technical accounting and reporting efforts, with a particular focus on M&A activity, purchase accounting, and the integration of newly acquired entities into Buyers Edge Platform's policies and systems (including NetSuite). You will serve as the go-to expert for complex GAAP matters, ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting and driving operational excellence. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact at a rapidly scaling organization where no two days look the same.

Your impact:

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a strong knowledge of GAAP accounting, be highly analytical, detailed oriented, and be able to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You'll play a hands-on leadership role in supporting the consolidation and close process and supporting technical accounting initiatives, including purchase accounting. You'll identify and propose process improvements and ensure accurate financial deliverables are completed within expected deadlines.
  • M&A Related
    • Lead technical accounting analysis in support of purchase accounting on M&A, including preparation of technical accounting memos and recording of JEs.
    • Assist with the alignment of accounting policies and practices during the M&A process and subsequent integration.
    • Support the transition of acquired company accounting to the respective BEP team, including the mapping of financials into BEP's chart of accounts and transition to NetSuite.
    • Collaborate with the M&A team on structuring earnout and other contingent consideration calculations and with FP&A on the measurement and reporting of subsequent achievement, including supporting analysis, journal entries and reconciliations.
    • Support implementation of new accounting guidance and other ad hoc initiatives as part of the corporate accounting team.
  • Accounting & Reporting
    • Support the month-end close process preparing and/or reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis for complex accounting, including equity, self-insurance, intercompany reconciliations, etc.
    • Maintain and improve processes to support monthly close activities and internal controls.
    • Coordinate across departments (e.g., FP&A, HR, Treasury, Ops & Legal) to ensure financial integrity.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounting entries and close activities.
    • Ensure adherence to GAAP and the timely completion of account reconciliations in an audit ready state.
  • Team Leadership & Management
    • Collaborate with, oversee and help develop junior accounting professionals within the reporting and corporate team.
    • Review team member work product.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

About you:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related degree
  • CPA or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5+ years of progressive accounting/audit experience. Supervisory/managerial experience a plus.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and accounting operations
  • Experience with complex M&A accounting transactions
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and modern accounting tech stacks a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft's suite of business applications (e.g. Excel, Word, etc.)
