Job SummaryPosition - DBA Admin Location -Wichita KS Microsoft SQL Server (Required) Administration & Operations - SQL Server 2016 through SQL Server 2025 administration
- Backup, restore, recovery, and database refreshes between environments
- Security administration (logins, users, roles, AD group integration)
- Database access troubleshooting and permissions management
- SQL Agent job troubleshooting and maintenance
- Support ticket processing and incident response
Performance & Availability SQL performance tuning (query tuning, index optimization, execution plan analysis)
- Windows Failover Clustering and SQL Server clustered instances
- Always On Availability Groups
- High availability and disaster recovery planning/testing
- Storage and capacity management
Maintenance & Upgrades - SQL Server migration projects to newer versions
- Migration planning and execution
- Database consistency checks and maintenance plans
- Monitoring and alerting tools experience
Security & AuditDatabase auditing and compliance reporting
- Vulnerability remediation and security best practices
- Service account and AD group troubleshooting
- Least privilege access model implementation
Azure & Cloud (Preferred) Basic Microsoft Azure administration experience
- Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance familiarity
- Azure PostgreSQL Flexible Instance familiarity
- Azure Storage Accounts, Blob Storage, and backup/recovery concepts
- Azure Virtual Machines hosting SQL Server workloads
- Azure networking awareness (Private Endpoints, VNets, Firewalls)
- Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Azure Arc awareness
- Azure identity and access management awareness (Entra ID/Azure AD integration)
- Experience supporting hybrid SQL environments (on premises and Azure)
Oracle (Preferred / Backup Support as needed) Administration - Oracle 9i Data Guard, 10g, 11g on AIX
- Oracle 12c/19c multitenant architecture (CDB/PDB) on RHEL
- User account management, password resets, account unlocks
- Backup/recovery using RMAN
- Database cloning and refreshes
- Data Guard monitoring and standby synchronizationPlatform Support
- General PostgreSQL knowledge, ability to learn on the fly about options available as we onboard new solutions utilizing the tool
- Oracle on AIX
- Oracle on RHEL/Linux
- Listener, TNS, and connectivity troubleshooting
The pay range for this role is $110,000- $120,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
