Role: Sr Snowflake Data Engineer
Job Description
At least 15 years of software development experience, and 6 years of experience on Snowflake development with at least one full cycle implementation experience.
Snowflake data engineers will be responsible for architecting and implementing very large scale data intelligence solutions around Snowflake Data Warehouse.
A solid experience and understanding of architecting, designing and operationalization of large scale data and analytics solutions on Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse is a must.
Snowflake SQL Writing SQL queries against Snowflake Developing scripts Unix, Python, etc. to do Extract, Load, and Transform data
Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Python, Tasks, Streams, Time travel, Optimizer, Metadata Manager, data sharing, and stored procedures.
In-depth understanding of Data Warehouse/ODS, ETL concept and modelling structure principles
Understanding data transformation and translation requirements and which tools to leverage to get the job done
Experience in Data warehousing - OLTP, OLAP, Dimensions, Facts, and Data modelling.
Experience gathering and analysing system requirements
Developing ETL pipelines in and out of data warehouse using combination of Python and Snowflakes SnowSQL Writing SQL queries against Snowflake
Mandate Skills Below
Exceptional in PL/SQL Programming in Snowflake. Writing complex stored procedures and functions.
Well versed in Data Transformation within Snowflake.
Able to perform Data Transformation without any ETL tool as such within Snowflake. E.g. Change Data Types of a Field from Text to Varchar. Add a column or delete a column from a table using PL/SQL Programming.
Use the existing Snowflake Views/Structures/Functions to do data transformation. Creating new views if required
Usage of CTE in Snowflake
