Full Job Description
The position involves working closely with matrixed partners and field leadership to devise teaming strategies that boost productivity and capacity for financial advisors and teams, driving positive capacity and sales outcomes in alignment with Thrivent's Growth Playbook. This role will focus on providing the subject matter expertise for, as well as partnering to build and enhance the technical aspects of advisor teaming across the organization. This includes, but is not limited to, team formation and development, addressing operational needs, strategic planning, team recognition, team programs, and more. The role will partner to design playbooks, optimize systems, and develop scalable programs and processes to grow and develop teams at Thrivent. This role will also deliver advanced business support to financial advisors, guiding them in implementing growth initiatives and achieving their goals through customized solutions.

This can be a remote position within the US.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Partner with field sales leadership to develop and deploy comprehensive strategies through Practice Growth Directors and field leaders that enhance productivity, expand capacity, and drive positive sales outcomes for financial advisors and teams.
  • Provide unified guidance in collaboration with field sales leaders, working directly with financial advisors and teams as needed to implement advanced or complex growth strategies and achieve business objectives, conducting one-on-one and group sessions to assess strengths and deliver tailored guidance.
  • Develop in partnership with the Practice Growth Directors customized plans to enhance leadership capabilities and professional growth for financial advisors and teams.
  • Partner to create and provide resources to field leadership in all aspects of team formation and development, including team dynamics, role identification, accountability, and conflict resolution. Address operational essentials like business continuity, human capital needs, technology systems integration and tools, financial management, and communication. Focus on strategic planning areas such as marketing and financial advisory business practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in all elements of teaming for the enterprise.
  • In partnership across the matrix, develop engaging training programs and workshops that focus on leadership, team management, client relationship building, and financial advisory best practices, ensuring participants understand the critical importance of these skills for their professional growth and organizational success.
  • Develop and implement feedback mechanisms and performance metrics to assess the effectiveness and utilization of training programs and workshops. Utilize data-driven insights for continuous improvements and iterations, and regularly report on progress.


This role will establish strong, collaborative relationships with the Revenue Practice and Productivity team to achieve shared goals. This position will collaborate with Revenue Growth and Practice Directors, as well as Group Vice Presidents, and Thrivent Advisor Groups (TAGs) to identify and support the advancement of revenue-sharing teams poised for significant growth through coaching, development and facilitation of key programs and workshops. The Teaming Consultant will regularly communicate with, influence, and inspire veteran advisors, teams, and their staffs.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience in guiding financial advisors through teaming initiatives, or in creating and implementing programs focused on collaborative practice-building, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
  • Practice management experience with advanced teaming structures, including expertise in client service models, team building, and model office practices.
  • Experience in content creation and facilitation, skilled in presenting to drive understanding and success in large or small group settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change effectively, with a flexible and adaptable approach, while maintaining a strong results-oriented focus.
  • Proficient with internal sales advice platforms designed for delivering personalized client experiences, Salesforce, and other tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Power BI)


Preferred:
  • Prior experience leading sales groups, financial advisors or offices.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $114,731.00 - $155,224.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
