Lead Pharmacy Operations While Delivering Exceptional Patient Care

We are seeking an experienced Retail Team Leader Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. In this role, you will combine direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, helping guide daily pharmacy operations while supporting the professional development of pharmacists, technicians, and support staff.

As a team leader, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered pharmacy services. You'll collaborate with patients, providers, and healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy while helping drive quality initiatives, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and team performance.

What You'll Do
  • Provide pharmaceutical care services that promote safe, effective, and evidence-based medication therapy
  • Counsel patients and caregivers on medications, treatment plans, and adherence strategies
  • Review, verify, and dispense medications in accordance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards
  • Support medication therapy management and other patient-focused clinical services
  • Serve as a clinical resource for pharmacy staff, providers, and patients
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, oversight, and training for pharmacists, technicians, and support staff
  • Assist with staff onboarding, orientation, mentoring, and competency development
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve patient care, efficiency, and financial performance
  • Participate in regulatory, accreditation, and compliance activities, including audits and corrective action plans
  • Contribute to policy and procedure development, review, and maintenance
  • Support departmental goals related to operational performance, patient satisfaction, and service excellence
  • Precept pharmacy students and residents as appropriate
  • Contribute to educational initiatives through presentations, community outreach, and staff development activities
  • Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the manager or department leader
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist in Indiana and Kentucky
  • Ability to obtain required licensure within 45 days of employment
  • Minimum of one year of retail pharmacy experience required
  • Three or more years of retail pharmacy experience preferred
  • Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to patient-centered care
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and support operational excellence
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement

Preferred:
  • Pharmacy Practice Residency
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience
  • Experience developing staff and leading operational improvement initiatives
