Summary

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
  • Plan the working shift/hours and overtime schedule of employees (Quality Support 1-3) under his/her assigned area.
  • Review defects found by Quality Inspector, prepare report, notify and work with team for correction and drive for solution.
  • Provides direct supervision and training to employees (Quality Support 1-3) performing routine work.
  • Monitor and review performance, attendance and disciplinary of Quality Inspector.
  • Stop line and escalate the quality incident to the Manager as necessary.
  • Review contents in the Quality Instruction and feedback Quality Engineer as necessary.


Detailed Description

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Knowledge of the product quality requirements (IPC-A-610, workmanship, cosmetic spec.) and the tools and equipment used in the inspection process.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of sampling plan procedure (AQL).
  • Knowledge of basic quality tools.
  • Knowledge of ISO Standards and general company's rules / procedures.
  • Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate employees (Quality Support 1-3).
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with various functions.


Physical Demands

  • The job works in generally good conditions with occasional exposure (10% - 33%) to noise, odours, dust, drafts, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
  • Duties may require sustained visual concentration on small areas, such as monitors/screens, sustained visual concentration on numbers, legal documents.

  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.
