Full Job Description
Overview

We are seeking a full-time Team Leader Project Management in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for directing the project team ensuring projects are delivered on budget, on time, and within the scope for the project. Team Lead of PJMs contribute to the project management process, train and coach new and existing PjMs, act as a point of escalation for project issues, and handle all HR management responsibilities.

Essential Functions
  • Set the tone for the team environment and build healthy team relationships
  • Interview, hire, and train new associates as directed by DI product management
  • Directly supervise PJM team members with daily observation, assuring appropriate attendance, and providing assistance to team members
  • Participate in college campus interviewing and other recruiting activities as needed
  • Work with Human Resources to address employee relations issues as needed including writing and conducting annual performance evaluations
  • Communicate project status, risks, issues, and timeline changes to DI management (Project Owner Role)
  • Manage conflict inside and outside of team
  • Assist in negotiating priority of features and resources between product owners when conflicts arise
  • Act as a point of escalation
  • Work with project team to coordinate resolving roadblocks
  • Monitor progress of the team in meeting product requirements and schedule compliance
  • Participate in design reviews as necessary, assuring proper attendees and proper coverage of topics, imparting lessons learned and best practices to all who attend
  • Ensure the team meets overall development goals in accordance with the product development plan or market requirements and ensure project milestones are met
  • Attend bi-weekly sync meetings, PID meetings, and showcase demos as an active participant
  • Attend project meetings as needed

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline AND a minimum of 5 years relevant project management experience OR a minimum of 9 years of relevant project management experience
  • Experience with Web/Mobile projects
  • People managment experience
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the job requirements of Project Manager
  • Ability to effectively manage project manager resources
  • Strong ability to work crossfunctionally
  • Excellent Microsoft Project skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership, analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills using Excel, Word and Access
