Full Job Description
Team Lead Privacy

This position will combine privacy and compliance support with day-to-day leadership of a production-oriented team.

The Privacy Team Lead will coordinate assignments, monitor workload and quality, provide guidance to team members, support privacy documentation and assessment activities, and help ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.

This position is well suited for an experienced team lead, supervisor, or privacy/compliance professional who is comfortable managing people and production while working within an established federal privacy program.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the daily activities of a production team of 10 or more employees.
  • Assign work, establish priorities, monitor progress, and help ensure established production requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Support the preparation, review, and maintenance of Privacy Threshold Analyses (PTAs), Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), System of Records Notices (SORNs), and related privacy documentation.
  • Review team work products for completeness, consistency, accuracy, formatting, and adherence to established procedures.
  • Assist with documenting information concerning systems, business processes, data collection, data sharing, user access, retention, and information-handling practices.
  • Track assessments, assignments, action items, stakeholder responses, revisions, approvals, and deadlines.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and assistance to team members.
  • Identify missing, conflicting, or incomplete information and coordinate resolution or escalation as appropriate.
  • Support status reports, metrics, inventories, workload tracking, and other program documentation.
  • Coordinate with privacy personnel, system owners, program offices, technical personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Support onboarding, training, and development of team members.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve workflow, quality, consistency, and team productivity.
  • Protect sensitive information and follow applicable privacy and information-handling requirements.


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three years of professional experience in privacy, compliance, information management, cybersecurity, records management, program support, business operations, or a related environment.
  • Experience leading, supervising, or coordinating a production or professional team of 10 or more employees.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience assigning or coordinating work and tracking multiple assignments or deadlines.
  • Ability to understand and document technical, operational, or compliance-related information.
  • Familiarity with personally identifiable information (PII) and responsible information handling.
  • Ability to review work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures and quality standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and related business applications.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to satisfy applicable federal background investigation, suitability, or security requirements.
