  • Set the team's AI-native operating model, including agent use, review standards, delegation boundaries, and maintenance of shared context and evaluation assets.
  • Stay hands-on by directing AI agents on real repository work and calibrating what good agent-assisted engineering looks like.
  • Own quality outcomes by defining automated gates for tests, evaluations, security scanning, dependency policy, and release readiness.
  • Coach engineers through the shift from writing code to directing, reviewing, and verifying agent-generated work.
  • Run agile execution with strong judgement around AI-produced estimates, scoping, planning artifacts, and delivery commitments.
  • Represent the Austin technical position in cross-site decisions and keep the team aligned with EMEA counterparts across time zones.
  • Grow the team by interviewing for AI-native judgement, onboarding quickly, and maintaining a high hiring bar while scaling the hub.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on expertise in at least one relevant technology stack and a proven track record of leadership or technical mentoring within agile environments.
  • Practical experience using AI coding agents in production software development, with the ability to articulate what was delegated, what required review, what failed, and how issues were identified and resolved.
  • Proven ability to define and implement quality and security gates for code contributions, including automated testing, evaluations, static analysis, security scanning, and dependency management.
  • A critical approach to reviewing agent-generated output, with accountability for correctness, security, maintainability, and overall software quality.
  • Strong understanding of clean code principles, modern software architecture, distributed systems, and the security and networking considerations relevant to TeamViewer products.
  • Working knowledge of agentic development environments, custom tools, MCP or comparable tool protocols, repository-level instructions, and sub-agent architectures.
  • Deep understanding of common AI failure modes, including hallucinations, context degradation, prompt injection, non-determinism, and silent regressions, along with effective mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across EMEA while helping shape a shared AI-native engineering culture.
