We are seeking a
Teaching Hospitalist Physician to join our Hospital Medicine team. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who enjoys caring for complex hospitalized patients and is passionate about
teaching and developing the next generation of physicians.
The Opportunity As a Teaching Hospitalist, you will provide high-quality inpatient care while working closely with
UConn residents and medical students as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
You will:
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care to adult patients with a broad range of medical conditions.
- Round with and supervise residents while providing clinical teaching and mentorship.
- Participate in resident education, case discussions and bedside teaching.
- Collaborate with specialists, advanced practice providers, nurses and other members of the care team.
- Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Participate in the academic and educational activities of the Department of Medicine.
- Help create a supportive learning environment for residents and students.
