Full Job Description
Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Medical Radiation Technologist position for the Diagnostic Imaging department.

The primary location for this position is: Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital

Qualifications Required:
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Registered with Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists(CAMRT) / and Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences (OARMS) which includes Liability insurance.
  • Minimum of two years of recent related hospital experience.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Perform all general diagnostic radiographic procedures as per departmental manual and departmental quality assurance and education as assigned.
  • Excellent attendance record, punctuality and demonstrates the ability to attend work on a regular basis.
  • Ability to operate equipment and the ability to employ radiation safety measures as required.
  • Exceptional patient care skills.
  • Effective organizational and excellent communication skills with the ability to understand and follow written procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, independently, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions and changing demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships within a team to contribute to a positive work life.
  • Is cognizant of emotions and experiences of others while communicating with patient, families and team members.
  • Able to recognize the importance of managing your emotions and the impact that it has on team morale and performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
  • Cerner EPR and AGFA PACS an asset
  • Must be able to use the computer efficiently (MS Word, Excel and Departmental equipment.)

Other pertinent conditions:
  • Salary per the OPSEU Collective Agreement ($36.84 per hour to $50.24 per hour)
