As a Vice President within Tax Information Reporting, you will lead complex operational processes, drive risk reduction and process improvement initiatives, and provide subject matter expertise across US and Canadian tax reporting obligations. You will be expected to influence cross-functional stakeholders, oversee delivery across time-sensitive regulatory cycles, and help shape scalable solutions supporting Global Banking & Markets, Asset & Wealth Management, and Platform Solutions.

At the Vice President level, this role will also require ownership of operational controls, escalation management, regulatory delivery oversight, and strategic enhancements that improve scalability, reduce manual intervention, and strengthen the firm's risk and control environment.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL:

  • Lead complex Tax Information Reporting processes across US and Canadian reporting obligations, including 1099, 1042-S, 945, T5, T5008, NRA, FATCA, Backup Withholding, Chapter 3, Chapter 4, and 871(m) withholding reporting where applicable.

  • Own escalation review and resolution for complex client, business, tax authority, and regulator inquiries, ensuring timely, accurate, and risk-aware outcomes.

  • Provide technical and operational guidance to analysts and associates, including review of analysis, issue resolution, and stakeholder communications.

  • Drive regulatory filing readiness through oversight of data quality, reconciliations, exception management, and control execution.

  • Partner with Technology, Tax, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and business stakeholders to design scalable solutions for recurring reporting and withholding processes.

  • Identify process, control, and data risks, escalate appropriately, and lead remediation efforts through sustainable process improvements.

  • Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives that reduce manual work, improve transparency, and strengthen operational resilience.

  • Support management reporting, issue tracking, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective action plans.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of evolving tax reporting requirements and translate regulatory or business changes into operational impacts.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 7 + years relevant work experience in Operations, Taxation, Accounting, Auditing, or related field

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex operational processes, regulatory deliverables, or control-focused initiatives

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex workflows, identify risk, and implement sustainable solutions

  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively with senior business, operations, technology, tax, legal, and compliance partners

  • Strong judgment and ownership mindset, with the ability to make risk-aware decisions in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to manage competing priorities across time-sensitive regulatory cycles and longer-term strategic initiatives

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, control integrity, and regulatory compliance

  • Experience reviewing work products, guiding junior team members, or providing process leadership

  • Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Accounting, auditing, reconciliations, regulatory reporting, or tax operations background, preferably within financial services

  • Strong understanding of NRA, FATCA, Backup Withholding, Chapter 3, Chapter 4, and 871(m) withholding and reporting rules

  • Prior exposure to IRS Forms 945, 1042, 1099, and 1042-S

  • Prior exposure to Canadian Forms T5 and T5008

  • Experience leading regulatory reporting cycles, control reviews, issue remediation, or process improvement initiatives

  • Experience partnering with Technology or Data teams to enhance operational workflows, reporting logic, or exception management

  • SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, or similar data analysis and workflow automation skills
