In this role, you will work directly with clients, lead complex tax engagements, and manage and develop tax professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Essential Responsibilities - Provide tax compliance services for partnerships and not-for-profit organizations within the affordable housing and community development industry.
- Provide tax compliance services for corporations and individuals across various industries.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering timely, responsive, and exceptional service that exceeds client expectations.
- Manage, develop, mentor, and support professional tax staff.
- Review federal and state tax returns prepared by team members at all levels.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively and monitor the progress and quality of tax engagements.
- Collaborate with other Senior Tax Managers, Principals, and Partners to manage workflow and support the development of tax personnel.
- Research complex federal and state tax matters, apply findings to client engagements, and communicate conclusions clearly to clients and internal team members.
- Maintain accountability for the timely delivery of accurate, high-quality work.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Active CPA license.
- At least seven years of public accounting experience.
- Advanced technical knowledge of federal and state taxation, including strong tax research skills.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, develop, and lead professional staff.
- Strong team-building, delegation, and workflow-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong sense of ownership and commitment to providing high-quality client service.
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and solutions-focused in demanding situations.
- Flexibility and comfort working in a team-oriented, collaborative management environment.
- Proficiency with professional tax preparation software; experience with CCH ProSystem fx or CCH Axcess is preferred.
- Availability to work approximately 60 70 hours per week during peak tax season (January - April).
