About the RoleWe are seeking a
Tax Reporting Lead to lead and scale our global income tax accounting and reporting function. This role will be responsible for overseeing the quarterly and annual tax provision process under ASC 740, ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting across a complex corporate environment. You will serve as a key partner to Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and external advisors, helping the organization navigate technical tax matters while maintaining strong financial controls and compliance.
As a strategic leader within the Finance organization, you will drive improvements in tax reporting processes, strengthen internal controls, support audit activities, and provide insights into the company's effective tax rate and tax accounting implications of business initiatives. This is a highly visible role that combines technical expertise, cross-functional partnership, and operational excellence.
What You'll DoLead Global Tax Provision & Reporting- Own the quarterly and annual global income tax provision process under ASC 740.
- Oversee current and deferred tax calculations, valuation allowance assessments, uncertain tax positions (FIN 48), and related financial statement disclosures.
- Manage the consolidation of worldwide tax provision information, including legal entity results, deferred tax rollforwards, tax account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Monitor and analyze the company's effective tax rate (ETR), including key drivers, discrete items, and forecasting impacts on future reporting periods.
Partner with External Advisors & Internal Stakeholders- Manage relationships with third-party tax consulting firms supporting the tax provision process.
- Establish deliverables, review workpapers and technical analyses, resolve complex tax accounting issues, and ensure timely completion of reporting requirements.
- Partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Treasury, and business leaders to evaluate the tax accounting implications of transactions, organizational changes, and strategic initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance on tax-sensitive transactions and support documentation of tax accounting positions.
Strengthen Controls, Compliance & Audit Readiness- Maintain and execute SOX controls over the tax provision process, including documentation, reconciliations, review controls, and management sign-offs.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing technical analyses, responding to auditor inquiries, and maintaining robust supporting documentation.
- Oversee provision-to-return analyses and ensure consistency between tax accounting positions and filed tax returns.
- Monitor tax attributes and coordinate with internal teams and external advisors to support compliance objectives.
Drive Process Improvement & Operational Excellence- Identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and improve tax reporting processes.
- Enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of tax accounting operations.
- Strengthen internal controls and reduce risk through process optimization and documentation improvements.
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Who You Are- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA, Master of Taxation (MST), or Master of Accounting preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive corporate income tax experience, including significant ASC 740 tax accounting experience.
- Strong expertise in tax provision processes, deferred taxes, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions (FIN 48), and tax-related financial statement disclosures.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax; international tax experience is a plus.
- Experience working in a multinational or complex corporate environment.
- Demonstrated success managing external advisors and leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Prior people leadership experience, including coaching, developing, and reviewing team members' work.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with the capability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet critical reporting deadlines.

While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
