Are you a strategic tax professional who enjoys solving complex information reporting and withholding challenges? Do you want to advise leading financial institutions across banking, asset management, hedge funds, and insurance? If you have experience with FATCA, CRS, Forms 1042/1042-S, or Forms 1099, Deloitte's Global Information Reporting team offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of tax, technology, and global compliance.

Work You'll Do

As a Manager on Deloitte's Global Information Reporting team, you'll advise financial institutions on FATCA, CRS, Chapters 3 and 61 of the Internal Revenue Code, Qualified Intermediary and Withholding Partnership rules, Section 871(m), and other domestic and international information reporting and withholding regimes.

You'll coordinate teams across jurisdictions to help clients meet complex global reporting and withholding requirements. You'll manage client relationships, engagement workflow, and the day-to-day supervision and development of tax professionals.

You'll review reporting data, tax form validations, notifications, Forms 1042/1042-S, Forms 1099, and other FATCA, CRS, Chapter 3, and Chapter 61 requirements. You'll also support technology development by helping define business requirements, contributing to solution design, participating in testing, and training tax professionals on regulatory impacts.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience in FATCA, CRS, Chapter 3, Chapter 61 of the Internal Revenue Code, Qualified Intermediary rules, Section 871(m), or other withholding and reporting regimes
  • One of the following active accreditations: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed attorney, Enrolled Agent, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
  • Experience preparing and reviewing FATCA returns, CRS reporting, tax form validation for Forms W-8 and W-9 and CRS self-certifications, Forms 1042/1042-S, and Forms 1099
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week
  • Experience managing teams and engagement workflows
  • Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred:
  • Advanced degree in Tax, Juris Doctor, or Master of Laws
  • Experience in a Big Four or large certified public accounting firm
  • Experience presenting tax technical matters to clients, stakeholders, or project teams
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New Jersey, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New Jersey and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $123,000 to $205,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
