Brown Plus, a premier accounting and business advisory firm in Central PA and Maryland, is seeking an Tax Manager to join our team! We're seeking a Tax Manager with a strong background in complex tax matters to help lead engagements, mentor staff, and serve as a trusted advisor to our clients.

As a Tax Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

This is a hybrid remote position based out of either our Frederick, MD, Westminster, MD or Hanover, PA office locations.

Requirements

  • Provide strategic tax planning advice to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings, minimizing tax liabilities, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of complex tax issues, staying up-to-date with the tax laws and regulations to provide clients with accurate and timely guidance.
  • Review and supervise the preparation of taxes ensuring precision and compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge of the tax issues facing privately held Corporations, S Corporations and Partnerships, including state tax matters, especially in the areas of tax compliance, tax accounting and consulting services.
  • Knowledge of individual tax returns and the interplay of corporate and owner tax regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Current CPA
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience preferably in a public accounting firm.
  • Proficiency in tax software and other accounting tools (e.g., CCH Axcess, Thomson Reuters Ultra Tax) is highly desirable.
  • Valid drivers license or reliable transportation.
