Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Tax / Incentive Tracking Analyst to join our team! In this role you will support project tax and incentive compliance by tracking incentive requirements, eligible costs, exemption usage, and program reporting for selected projects.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Establish and maintain a structured framework for tracking incentive requirements, eligible costs, compliance obligations, and exemption program registration and usage for selected projects.
  • Assist in administration of existing tracking frameworks and recommend process improvements where such frameworks are already in place.
  • Support identification and tracking of incentive-eligible project costs and tax exemption usage by reviewing expenditures, coordinating cost classifications, and reconciling eligible costs to budgets, commitments, and actual expenditures.
  • Prepare periodic reports summarizing incentive program status, eligible cost accumulation, exemption utilization, and compliance with program requirements.
  • Track compliance with incentive conditions, including prevailing wage requirements, local hiring commitments, and reporting obligations tied to public incentives or tax benefits.
  • Support activities intended to maximize eligible benefits and maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local incentive programs, including Federal CHIPS, New York Green CHIPS, and OCIDA Sales and Use Tax Exemption programs.
  • Coordinate reporting and support activities with project leadership as requested.

What Required Skills You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, tax, business, economics, or related field, or equivalent.
  • Experience with cost tracking, financial analysis, tax incentives, grant compliance, or project accounting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to reconcile costs to budgets and expenditures.
  • Experience preparing compliance or financial status reports.
  • Strong Excel and data organization skills.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring
  • Experience with public incentive programs, tax exemptions, or capital project compliance.
  • Familiarity with prevailing wage tracking, eligible cost classifications, or incentive reporting.
  • Experience supporting large industrial, manufacturing, or semiconductor programs.

This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.

Salary Range: $74,800.00 - $130,900.00
