SummaryThe Tax Data Analytics Supervisor is responsible for serving as the tax analytic specialist to reconcile out-of-balance conditions for daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly payroll completions within Workday, the OSV collection process, and taxes paid/filed on behalf of our customers. The objective is to ensure the resolution of out-of-balance complies with payroll processing and tax regulations.
Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities- Monitor overall activities of the pay function, including all payment activities, in collaboration with key stakeholders to drive quality improvement
- Work with the Team Manager to identify the need for system improvements
- Serve as the first point of customer and internal escalation regarding tax analytics
- Provide directions, instructions, and/or training to the team
- Assist the team as needed with daily tasks and assist with special team projects
- Perform routine audits for tax balancing actions and reconciliation communication to ensure deadlines are met
- Responsible for daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliation of payroll and taxes processed in all US tax jurisdictions
- Responsible for applying credits based on a reconciliation of taxes remitted on behalf of the customer
- Research and resolve the tax out-of-balance in a timely manner
- Investigate and validate the cause of the out-of-balance in a timely manner and accurate
- Responsible for communicating with customers and documenting the cause of the tax discrepancy, and ensuring to provide the customer with the steps required to resolve the out-of-balance when action is required within Workday
- Ensure that the appropriate action is taken that complies with the tax authority requirements
- Analysis of tax/payroll data on the employer and employee level of inspecting and transforming with the goal of discovering, suggesting conclusions, and supporting decision-making
- Responsible for collecting data and analyzing data - running various mathematical calculations to determine how the data will conclude the best solution
- Responsible for communicating with customers and documenting the cause of the tax discrepancy within quarterly/annual reconciliation reports
- Responsible for providing the customer with the quarterly and annual reconciliation reports via the OSV tax portal
- Responsible for communicating with customers via conference calls or the communication case system to explain the reconciliation of funding to tax deposits remitted and obtain approval of further collections and/or refunds after quarter-end or annually

Qualifications and Experience- 1 + year Payroll Tax experience
- 2 years of accounting / bookkeeping experience
- Proficient at Microsoft Excel
- Flexibility of hours to meet customer needs -Overtime will be required
