We are seeking an experienced
CPA to join a growing public accounting and advisory firm serving
high-net-worth individuals, business owners, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
This role offers a blend of
tax compliance, tax planning, and strategic advisory, with opportunities to work directly with clients on complex tax matters, estate planning, retirement strategies, and long-term wealth management.
The ideal candidate is a client-focused tax professional who enjoys solving complex problems, identifying planning opportunities, and developing trusted, long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
- Provide year-round tax planning, projections, and advisory services.
- Research federal and state tax laws, regulations, and legislative developments.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and develop practical strategies based on client objectives.
- Assist with trust, estate, and fiduciary tax planning and compliance.
- Support retirement planning, wealth management, and broader financial advisory initiatives.
- Participate in client meetings and communicate tax strategies and recommendations clearly.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
- Collaborate with senior tax and advisory professionals on complex client engagements.
- Manage multiple engagements while meeting deadlines throughout the year.
- Prepare accurate workpapers and maintain organized supporting documentation.
- Stay current on tax legislation, accounting standards, and industry best practices.
Requirements- Active CPA license required.
- 1-3+ years of public accounting or tax experience.
- Experience preparing individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and estate tax returns.
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Trust, estate, and fiduciary tax experience highly preferred.
- Interest in expanding beyond compliance into tax planning, estate planning, retirement planning, and wealth management.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong client-service and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Willingness to work additional hours during peak tax season.
- Ability to work on-site in Oradell, NJ.
