Full Job Description
The Tax Associate will be responsible for a wide variety of day-to-day matters within our Tax Department, including income tax compliance, income tax accounting and related audit support. We are looking for a detail oriented, self-motivated and reliable professional to join our two-person tax team. The candidate will work closely with other personnel in finance and operations, as well as external tax and accounting service providers, to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting across the corporate's structure.

Job Function:

  • Review federal, state and local partnership and corporate tax returns, extensions, and quarterly estimates;
  • Prepare and maintain various schedules to compute book to tax differences, state and local tax apportionment, tax allocations, trial balance, and capital accounts;
  • Deliver accurate and timely tax information
  • Prepare and review sales/use tax compliance, unclaimed property, and commercial rent tax;
  • Review / prepare ASC 740 corporate income tax provision and related footnote disclosures to be included in the annual and quarterly SEC filings of forms 10-K and 10-Q;
  • Review international tax provisions and preparation of foreign tax credit calculations;
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual tax accruals and effective tax rate analysis;
  • Assist in managing tax audits including responding to information requests;
  • Respond to notices from tax authorities;
  • Assist with tax research and planning.
