What role you will play on our team

We are looking for experienced Engineering Professionals who will serve as the technical authority for tank and facility integrity across a defined area of responsibility, providing day-to-day support for inspection, corrosion monitoring, and regulatory compliance activities. The Tank and Facility Integrity Engineer will ensure that tanks, pipelines, and associated facilities are operated and maintained in a safe, reliable, and environmentally sound manner consistent with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role interfaces directly with Operations, Field Engineering, Projects Engineering, and SSHE teams to develop and implement practical integrity management solutions across operating assets.

The typical experience range for this position is 5+ years.

The job is located in Spring, Texas.

What you will do

  • Lead and coordinate inspection programs for tanks and associated facilities, including fitness-for-service assessments to evaluate structural integrity and remaining service life
  • Monitor and assess corrosion activity across facility assets, developing and implementing mitigation strategies to manage degradation and minimize risk
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards, including API 653, API 510, API 570, and ASME codes, across the area of responsibility
  • Develop, maintain, and steward tank and facility inspection schedules, ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation of inspection findings
  • Evaluate inspection data and recommend repair, replacement, or continued service decisions based on sound engineering judgment and recognized fitness-for-service methodologies
  • Interface with Operations personnel and Field Engineers to communicate integrity findings, prioritize corrective actions, and support risk management activities
  • Support the integrity scope for new projects, ensuring design and construction activities meet applicable standards and long-term integrity requirements
  • Depending on work location and area of responsibility, position involves between 30% and 50% of time outside the office working with Operations personnel at field locations, which may include travel via car and plane and overnight stays


About you

Skills and Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in tank or facility integrity, inspection, or corrosion engineering in an industrial or energy environment
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry standards and codes, including API 653, API 510, API 570, and ASME
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret inspection data and make sound fitness-for-service determinations
  • Familiarity with corrosion monitoring techniques and mitigation strategies, including coatings, cathodic protection, and chemical treatment programs
  • Strong communication skills with ability to interface with both field personnel and senior management
  • Leadership and ability to drive cross-functional teams toward timely resolution of integrity findings
  • Ability/willingness to travel to various field locations as needed
