OverviewSPA has an upcoming need for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team! You will facilitate full cycle recruiting efforts, including sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, calling candidates to review initial information, and scheduling phone, video, and in-office interviews. This role can be performed primarily remotely, with some required visits to HQ in Alexandria, VA.
Responsibilities
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work with other TA Specialists and hiring managers to staff critical positions across multiple business units. This is accomplished by understanding the needs of each hiring team you support and aligning these needs with qualified applicants or sourced candidates. Specific duties will include: 1) Reviewing new job requisitions for approval, 2) Reviewing resumes for appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements, 3) Sourcing new candidates on various job boards and from within SPA's Talent Acquisition System (iCIMS), 4) Speaking with candidates (telephone) about the role and their interests/desires, 5) Submitting candidates to the hiring team 6) Responding to hiring team interview requests and questions, and 7) Scheduling and documenting interviews. You will need to exercise many creative avenues for reaching candidates: databases, internet recruiting resources, networking, job fairs, media advertisements, recruiting firms, and employee referrals. You will also interview job applicants as part of the screening process to get information on their work history, job skills, training and education, and inform them of the position’s duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, and working conditions. You will serve as a liaison between candidates, hiring managers, and HR staff, as well as maintain accurate documentation regarding candidates and searches through iCIMS and in compliance with company policy and procedures, Federal, and state laws. We are looking for a creative recruiting professional with the ability to proactively research and investigate new ideas to create innovative sourcing strategies.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of full lifecycle talent acquisition experience in a Federal professional services contracting environment, with a focus onrecruiting cleared candidates (up to TS/SCI)
- Strong professional communication (written and oral) and teamwork skills
- Able to adapt to and maintain standard operating procedures
- Self-starter with innate curiosity for learning a new role
- U.S. Citizenship
Desired:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in an HR-related field
- AIRS certificates
- iCIMS ATS experience
