Who we are looking for

We are looking for a senior, enterprise-level talent leader to lead our global Early Careers function. This role requires a clear strategic bias, combined with the credibility and leadership presence to oversee global delivery teams and ensure execution lands as intended.

The successful candidate will bring deep, hands-on Early Careers expertise from a complex, global organization, ideally recognized for strong Early Careers outcomes. They will have proven experience designing and evolving high-impact Early Careers programs, while also aligning multiple parts of the organization - including Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning, and Learning & Development - around a coherent, enterprise approach.

The individual will bring the mindset and behaviors expected of a global functional head: setting vision, shaping strategy, representing Early Careers with senior stakeholders, and holding leaders accountable for outcomes. This role will be focused on enterprise strategy, capability direction, and leadership alignment, while maintaining oversight of delivery through clearly defined operating rhythms.

Successful candidates will

  • Act as the global owner and senior leader for Early Careers across State Street

  • Represent Early Careers in senior leadership forums, workforce discussions, and talent governance bodies
  • Partner closely with Workforce Intelligence and HR leadership to align Early Careers strategy with future skills, Labour-market insight, and organizational demand
  • Ensure clarity of purpose, scope, and accountability across the Early Careers portfolio


Delivery oversight and execution assurance
  • Provide executive oversight of global Early Careers delivery through regional and program leaders
  • Ensure the agreed operating model, program designs, and standards are implemented consistently worldwide
  • Hold delivery leads accountable for quality, performance, risk, and outcomes
  • Review delivery metrics, health indicators, and experience insights to assess effectiveness
  • Sponsor targeted change or investment where delivery outcomes indicate material gaps or opportunities

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred


Salary Range:
$110,000 - $188,750 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
