This early-career role will support the use of commercial space-based sensing, remote sensing data, geospatial information, and analytic products to address operational mission needs. Working alongside Government personnel, systems engineers, mission experts, ground systems engineers, and commercial partners, the Mission Support Analyst will help translate operational questions into actionable data and analytic requirements, coordinate and track mission requests, assess delivered products, and capture user feedback and lessons learned.
Role/Responsibilities/QualificationsThe ideal candidate brings 2+ years of experiencein space operations, GEOINT, remote sensing, geospatial analysis, environmental monitoring, intelligence/ISR, military operations, or a related technical or mission-support environment. This role does not require deep sensor engineering expertise but does require an ability to understand operational needs, work with geospatial or remote-sensing information, and communicate effectively across technical and mission communities.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Tactical Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Tracking activities associated with commercial space sensing, remote sensing, and environmental monitoring missions.
Assist in translating operational questions and user needs into clear, traceable data, sensing, and analytic requirements.
Support the intake, documentation, prioritization, coordination, and tracking of mission requests from Government and operational stakeholders.
Assist senior team members in evaluating available commercial sensing, imagery, environmental, and geospatial data sources against specific mission needs.
Support coordination with commercial data and analytics providers, Government organizations, and mission partners throughout the request-to-delivery process.
Review delivered Operational Planning Products, imagery, geospatial products, or commercial analytics for completeness, timeliness, traceability, and alignment with the original mission request.
Support the use and assessment of commercial remote-sensing capabilities such as electro-optical/infrared imagery, synthetic aperture radar, weather and environmental data, and other geospatial information sources.
Assist with geospatial visualization, data review, mapping, overlays, or basic analysis using GIS or related mission tools.
Support integration of commercial environmental-monitoring data and analytic products into Government ground, mission-processing, and operational workflows.
Maintain mission status, requirements, product-delivery, performance, and feedback documentation.
Collect user feedback and lessons learned to support refinement of mission requirements, commercial-provider performance, workflows, and future tasking.
