Description
Position OverviewWe are seeking an IT Systems Engineer to provide operations and maintenance support to the TACCOM Primary Core located in Orlando, FL, ensuring reliable communications infrastructure supporting nationwide DHS operations.
Duties and Responsibilities- Provide maintenance and operations support at the Primary Core
- Monitor Core system health, alarms, and performance; troubleshoot and resolve outages
- Support Core software/firmware updates, patching, and configuration management
- Coordinate with the Secondary Core team (EOCW) to maintain dual-core resiliency
- Support Key Management Facility (KMF) operations, including OTAR and cryptographic key handling
Requirements
- At least two years of experience managing a Motorola Core
- Specific Motorola Core training relevant to Primary/Secondary core administration
- Experience with Key Management Facility (KMF) operations, including OTAR and cryptographic key handling
- Ability to work rotating or on-call shifts to support 24/7/365 mission-critical core operations
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determination
- U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications - Motorola ASTRO25 Core certification
- Experience supporting dual-core resiliency architectures for public safety or federal law enforcement radio networks

Salary Description
$94,500 - $113,500 per year
