General Purpose

Provide expertise in a specialized field. Act as a resource to generalist personnel to investigate and resolve problem situations or complex issues. Research, analyze, develop and implement new programs, systems and/or processes in response to changing internal and external conditions. Develop and maintain operational and procedural documentation.

Provide expertise in a specialized field. Act as a resource to generalist personnel to investigate and resolve problem situations. Research and analyze new or existing programs, systems and/or processes in response to changing internal and external conditions. Develop and maintain operational and procedural documentation.

In addition, the T&D Specialist responsibilities are:

Provide expertise in a specialized field. Act as a resource to generalist personnel to investigate and resolve problem situations or complex issues. Research, analyze, develop and implement new programs, systems and/or processes in response to changing internal and external conditions. Develop and maintain operational and procedural documentation.

Research, analyze, develop and implement new programs, systems and/or processes in response to changing internal and external conditions. Develop and maintain operational and procedural documentation

Requirements

The Requirements of the Associate T&D Specialist are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of the power system.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult and resolve internal and external customer issues which maybe critical, sensitive, or urgent in nature.
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization including people with different styles and backgrounds; ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to effectively translate technical jargon into layman's terms.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Respond after hours to support field crews as required


In addition, the requirements of the T&D Specialist are:

  • A minimum of two years of experience related experience.
  • Assessment skills including problem diagnosis and identification of proper methods and techniques to resolve and prevent future problems.
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization including people with different styles and backgrounds; ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Knowledge of current technologies, tools, systems, and vendors.
  • Understanding of applicable company policies, practices and procedures.


In addition, the requirements of the Senior T&D Specialist are

  • A minimum of five years of directly related experience.
  • Expert knowledge of current technologies, tools, systems, and vendors.
  • Understanding of applicable company policies, practices and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively translate technical jargon into layman's terms.
  • Respond after hours to support field crews as required


Preferences

  • Experience supervising technical personnel.
