Job Description
The Systems Validation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and executing software test programs for both automated and manual testing of Teledyne FLIR infrared camera systems. This role supports product quality and reliability through the development, maintenance, and execution of camera validation test applications. Responsibilities include analyzing test results, documenting findings in a clear and organized manner, and collaborating with engineering teams to investigate and resolve identified issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test solutions for infrared camera systems.
- Create and maintain validation test applications and test frameworks.
- Develop and execute test plans, test procedures, and test cases.
- Analyze test results and document findings in a clear, detailed, and organized manner.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and help resolve software and system-level issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve product quality and test coverage.
- Support continuous improvement of software validation processes and automation capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
- 2+ years of experience in software verification, validation, or test engineering is preferred but not required.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, particularly related to embedded systems.
- Experience testing camera, sensor, imaging, or electro-optical systems is highly desirable.
- Proficiency using Windows as a development and test environment; Linux experience is a plus.
- Experience developing reusable automated test code, executing test cases, and generating test reports.
- Experience creating validation test plans and both automated and manual test cases.
- Test automation experience in embedded system development environments is highly desirable.
- Strong Python programming skills are required.
- Experience with C, C++, and/or C# is beneficial.
- Experience with PyTest is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with software version control systems (Git, SVN), project tracking tools, and defect tracking systems.
- Experience with Continuous Integration tools, particularly Jenkins, is a plus.
- Experience using Jama for test case management is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence is desirable.
- Experience leveraging AI tools within software and systems validation workflows is highly beneficial.

Salary Range:
$72,800.00-$97,100.000
