Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesAs a Systems Safety Engineer here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to impact the development of safety-critical systems and cutting-edge Avionics solutions for the Honeywell Anthem Flight Deck System. As a flagship product, the Honeywell Anthem Flight Deck System is not just another avionics product; it is a visionary endeavor that employs cutting-edge technologies to redefine how pilots interact with flight information and aircraft systems.
Responsibilities- Support the development and management of system safety requirements, ensuring proper allocation, traceability, validation, and verification
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems, software, hardware, safety, and certification engineering
- Support system design and architecture activities to ensure safety considerations are incorporated early and throughout development
- Contribute to systems integration efforts, identifying and addressing safety impacts across interfaces and subsystems
- Perform or support system safety analyses, including:
- Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA)
- Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
- Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Common Mode Analysis (CMA)
- Support compliance with applicable aerospace safety standards and regulatory guidance
- Assist with technical documentation, reviews, and certification artifacts in accordance with Honeywell processes

QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- Systems Engineering / Safety Engineering experience (open to varying experience levels from Engr II through Senior levels)
WE VALUE- Knowledge of systems development lifecycle
- Knowledge in any of the following is of value:
- CAFTA experience
- Part 25 aircraft exposure
- Flight control safety experience
- System safety analyses (e.g. FHA, FTA, FMEA, CMA, etc)
