Alteo is looking for a Systems Integration Specialist for a permanent position based in Montreal.

You will be responsible for the development, implementation, evolution, and support of electronic data exchange interfaces (HL7) between numerous clinical and clinical-administrative systems. The person in this role plays a key part in ensuring the interoperability of information systems by contributing to strategic projects and day-to-day operations in a highly collaborative and constantly evolving environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
> Analysis and Planning
- Participate in project proposals and analysis in collaboration with project managers;
- Meet with clients to analyze their needs and advise them on available technological solutions;
- Analyze interface requirements and identify potential solutions with stakeholders;
- Participate in testing phases (pilot, validation, acceptance);
- Contribute to the planning of production rollouts;
- Document deployed systems according to established standards, including service level agreements (SLAs);
- Ensure quality control during the planning and deployment of new applications or versions;
- Serve as a liaison with the project office, infrastructure, and networking teams.
> Architecture and Interoperability
- Design and evolve interfaces and integration models in accordance with standards: HL7 v2.x, HL7 v3 | CDA | FHIR R4 / R5
- Design FHIR APIs and microservices that meet the clinical and administrative needs, including interconnection with provincial platforms;
- Define and evolve the interoperability architecture in alignment with standards;
- Participate in the implementation of interoperability standards;
- Contribute to the governance of clinical terminologies: SNOMED CT | LOINC | ICD-10-CA | RxNorm
- Ensure alignment with IHE integration profiles (XDS, XCA, PIX/PDQ);
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks (LSSSS, Bill 25, provincial cybersecurity requirements).

- Develop and configure application integration solutions: HL7 interfaces | XML/JSON feeds

- Use the network's recognized integration engines:
- Mirth Connect (NextGen Connect)
- Enovacom Integration Engine
> Support and Operations
- Ensure a rapid and effective response to application support incidents;
- Perform technical and functional analysis of operational issues;
- Collaborate with the support center, vendors, and internal IT teams;
- Identify and implement appropriate fixes;
- Update incident tickets and perform required follow-ups;
- Participate in the implementation of contingency plans;
- Create and maintain support documentation and service level agreements.
PROFILE:
- Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent
- 7+ years of experience in the specialty area within a large-scale environment;
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft tools: MS Office, MS Visio, MS Project
- Strong knowledge of FHIR data ingestion via Microsoft Azure Health Data Services
- Experience in developing FHIR, HL7 v2, and v3 interfaces.
- Experience with systems used in Quebec (Oacis, Cristal-Net, RIS/PACS, laboratory systems, provincial solutions).
- Knowledge of cloud computing environments (Azure, AWS).
- In-depth analytical and technical skills in healthcare application technologies;
- Knowledge of the following programming languages: C#, .NET, XML, JavaScript, Java, JSON.
- Mirth Connect, HL7 v2, HL7 v3, HL7 FHIR.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer focus.
