Systems Integration & Network Engineering Specialist (Advanced)Position Overview Type: Full-Time

Essential Functions- Analyze, design, and integrate interconnected enterprise networks, including physical and logical architecture components.
- Evaluate and document system data flows, interface requirements, communication paths, and dependencies across integrated systems.
- Support network infrastructure engineering including switching, routing, transport layers, and physical connectivity (fiber vs. copper considerations).
- Collaborate with technical leads, system owners, and engineering teams to plan and validate system integration approaches.
- Review and interpret engineering diagrams, network drawings, cable plans, rack elevations, and system architecture documentation.
- Troubleshoot complex networking, inter-system communication, and hardware/software integration issues.
- Participate in system design reviews to ensure technical accuracy, stable configuration, and correct interconnectivity.
- Support enterprise and test network communication requirements; validate how systems link, share data, and operate in mission environments.
- Provide engineering-based input to modernization efforts tied to system performance, throughput, reliability, and architecture improvements.
- Conduct technical research to propose solutions, evaluate system behavior, and resolve multi-domain technical issues.
- Communicate engineering findings to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Leads, coordinates, and executes specialized IT system planning, design, maintenance, sustainment, and assessment activities.
- Works independently and/or leads teams to analyze and resolve problems.
Required Education and Experience- Education: Master's Degree or equivalent in STEM related field from an accredited institution with at least 10 years of relevant IT experience working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program / projects.
- Acceptable alternative: Bachelor's degree in STEM related field plus 15 years of relevant IT experience working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program / projects.
- Capable of leading, coordinating, and executing specialized IT system planning, design, maintenance, sustainment, and assessment activities.
- Works independently and/or leads teams to analyze and resolve problems
- Must be able to provide daily supervision and direction to support teams
Preferred Education and Experience- Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering-related discipline (Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with system integration, network design, and troubleshooting interconnecting networks.
- Familiarity with physical network media (fiber, copper), cable types, signal characteristics, and appropriate use cases.
- Experience reviewing engineering artifacts such as network diagrams, wiring schematics, interface documents, cabling plans, and system architecture drawings.
- Exposure to cybersecurity operations or defensive cyber principles
- Experience in DoD or government engineering environments
- Working knowledge of enterprise network hardware and transport technologies

Salary range: $138,000 - $165,000
