Basic Qualifications• Experience leading a team of system safety practitioners to develop and execute program-level system safety efforts.
• Business Acumen to coordinate with program management to support program captures, execution, and/or customer engagements.
• Technical depth to provide subject matter expertise to support Line of Business (LoB) strategy development, training, and long-range objectives.
• Ability to develop executive communications and briefings to highlight the mission value proposition to internal and external stakeholders.
• Program management skills to coordinate with management on System Safety budget, schedule, and/or staffing.
Desired skills• Technical expertise to lead a diverse team of system safety practitioners to develop and execute cutting-edge tools and analysis techniques for evaluating both manned and unmanned aircraft.
• Executive presence to coordinate with the Director of Aviation Safety and Airworthiness to establish processes and techniques for system safety internally and externally.
• Technical depth to provide subject matter expertise to support Line of Business (LoB) strategy development and program offices.
• System Safety and Software Safety expertise to include extensive experience in associated standards to include MIL-STD-882E. SAE ARP-4754, SAE ARP-4761, DO-178C, DO-254.
Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $151,200 - $266,570. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $173,900 - $301,415. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
